Safety is a core value at Ponte Comm and our aim is that nobody gets injured as a result of our cabling installations.
| The key tool in maintaining this is our OHSAS 18001:1999 certification awarded in 2005, and upgraded to OHSAS18001:2007 in June 2009. This is an international specification defining a set of requirements for an Occupational Health & Safety Management System. | |
The elements of this are translated into procedures enabling us to measure progress, plan improvements and ensure accountability. The key element of the system is to eliminate or minimise risk to employees and other interested parties who may be exposed to OH&S risks associated with our activities.
Our commitment to safety includes giving employees the appropriate equipment to do their jobs, developing procedures, training and policies that encourage and promote a safety culture.
We conduct regular internal and external assessments to ensure compliance and enable continuous improvement in all aspects of health & safety performance. Our external auditors are SGS, the worlds leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.
