Fitting tribute was paid to Network Rail's Square One building in Manchester when it won the British Council of Offices award for best office fit-out in the north of England, north Wales and Northern Ireland on 2 July. As a result, it is now short-listed for the UK award, which will be announced in October. |

The award recognised the hard work of Network Rail's corporate offices team, facilities management, Government and Corporate Affairs, and their delivery partners BDG (architects), Overbury (fit-out contractors), GVA Grimley (project managers), Square Dot and Clinic (designers) and WWP (M&E). The judges were particularly impressed with the obvious passion and respect that the Network Rail people who now occupy the offices have for the building. |
