Street Dancers Get Ponte Comm Boost to World Championships

‘KAOSS' is an all-girl group from the DanceVybz Dance School in Bedford.  With help from Ponte Comm's sponsorship, the group travelled to Poland to compete in the IDO World Street Dance Championships, Under 16's category.

'KAOSS' performed superbly well to finish a very respectable 14th place in their category amid stiff competition.

Street Dance is a modern style of dance performed to popular music - from pop to hip hop. You are most likely to see this style of dance in a music video danced by backing dancers and stars such as Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Ciara, Beyonce, etc.

Street Dance is the term used to describe a variety of different styles of dance. These might include locking, popping, breaking and street jazz.

Street Dance is suited to more commercial based music. The basic steps and movements are taken from other forms of dance such as latin, disco and contemporary but are danced with a funky element and no rules! Street dance is usually choregraphed to the beats and lyrics of the music.

The DanceVybz Dance School was extremely  successful at the Championships, winning no less than SIX GOLD MEDALS for England!
