This started at the hub of the network with a full re-organisation of the Main Comms Room. This included verification of the patching scheme by tracing and documenting each patch lead from end to end. Patching was re-orangised, with obsolete leads being removed and the many inappropriately long leads replaced with leads of suitable length. The result was spectacular, we had delivered an organised and professional IT environment. Works continued with a complete overhaul of the optical fibre backbone cabling system, including the riser containment system. We also installed a new Cat 5e horizontal cabling system. |
Our relationship with Barkers continues to develop, with Ponte Comm now the first port of call for data needs. Indeed, when another service contractor recently cut through a fibre optic cable onsite, Ponte Comm received an emergency call. Our engineers attended site and the fault was fixed within 24 hours.
